SEKIGAHARA
Two-player tactical card game based on the climatic battle of Sekigahara, recreating the battle between the great Tokugawa and Toyotomi clans to determine the future of Japan for generations to come. Two generals ready their armies, watching each other's preparations and trying to rearrange and respond to them, but they can only plan for so long before the battle lines come crashing against each other.
A small, tactical cardgame with elements of bluffing and hand management, SEKIGAHARA features has a heavy focus on outwitting your opponent as well as knowing exactly how many resources to commit at the right time. SEKIGAHARA was a team project where I led the overall gameplay design, writing and designing the gameplay manual while also contributing to some card art. I also led the team while acting as a project manager, coordinating members and maintaining detailed documentation. |
