InterConnect
InterConnect was a gamificiation project created in collaboration with NAGASE & CO LTD, a Japanese chemicals trading company. My team was tasked with designing a game that would be used as part of the company's orientation for new hires.
We designed a puzzle game with mechanics directly inspired from the three core parts of NAGASE's value proposition: Identify, Develop, and Expand. Each level is a puzzle where players build businesses and draw trade routes between them, spreading their influence to establish a new branch office. Starting from their origins in 1800s Kyoto and expanding across the globe, players play through nine levels spanning NAGASE’s 200-year history, learning about the company’s values and principles along the way.
I was the lead designer and project manager in a team of four. I handled most of the game's design and shared programming responsibilities with one other developer, while also creating animations and contributing to the game's art design and direction. In addition I also recorded and edited sound effects, as well as video editing.
Built in Unity.
