Hidden Gems of Little India
Hidden Gems of Little India was an inter-diploma gamification project, done in collaboration with exchange students from Chulalongkorn University as a part of Temasek Foundation's SCALE Program. I worked in a small team to design and develop an AR companion app that would be used to guide a group of primary 5 students through a heritage trail in Little India, improving their experience and engagement.
Participants would be led through a series of landmarks along a heritage trail in Little India, where they would stop for an activity to learn about the location. At each stop, teams would use the Hidden Gems app to scan a QR code to interact with an AR mascot character representing the location, and then they would be quizzed on what they've learned. The app kept track of each team's scores, and the highest-scoring team was rewarded with an additional prize at the end of the trail.
I contributed design, development, 3D and 2D artwork to this project. I also led the team, managing our project while communicating and coordinating with other teams across the school. Built in Unity, with 3D work done in MagicaVoxel and Blender. |
